Summary:

Itni Si Baat by Chaitali bangre is a beautiful love story of Tara and Sabbir.

A small fight at their first meet,
To a beautiful friendship it leads,
And a sweet love later it creates.
The cast selection for a roleplay,
In a college play, a vital role it plays.
Smitten with each other they stay,
At the second meet, destiny had planned,
Strengthening the bonds they had linked.
Missing each other, focussing on their career,
Successfully passing, they move higher.
To the same place they go,
A lot of meet ups they do,
And a numerous problems she gets into.
Realising their love, a proposal they do,
And a heartache it gives, saying adieu.
Religion and society interferes inbetween,
A choice she had to make,
For a better future together.
Support from his dad and friends they had,
And a knot to unite they tied,
Crossing all barriers in life.

OPINION:
This story wonderfully portrays the journey they had to cross from strangers to friends, to lovers and to partners. All characters are very well depicted and one can easily travel along with all of them, feeling the pain and enjoyments they undergo.
The titles are in Hindi song lyrics while the narration is in English which switches from past and present is a unique feature of this book. And the lovely shayaris inbetween adds more charm to the story.
The only mistake I was able to notice was the switch of tenses in few places. Other than that everything is perfect with the writing style in a simple language that could be well understood by all. And the cover also suits the story perfectly.
This true story is an example to all those who believe intercaste and inter religious marriages wouldn’t work well.
Overall (4/5) – A must read novel of a beautiful couple.

INTERVIEW OF CHAITALI BANGRE - AUTHOR OF ITNI SI BAAT

AUTHOR INTERVIEW

1.) A few words about you
I am a simple half full girl. I find happiness in tiny things, I find happiness in a child’s laughter and I find happiness in being myself. I always feel that self-worth is an essential key pampering you with the life’s delicacies. Yes, it might appear tough, but every single bite of it every day for yourself is an endorsement that will ignite the stars in you. That’s the reason I describe myself as half full.
2.)What is the purpose of your writing?
To let people know the social dilemmas along with their answers. No one is interested in having open discussions about the social privacy and policies. So, I always make it a point that those fillers should be added in my write-ups!
3.)Do you remember your first piece of writing? If yes, can I know when was it and on what was your writing about?
Duhhh ahhh! Yes, I do! My first write-up was based on a real-life incident that happened in Nagpur. I won’t reveal much about it as it had many nightmares which were hard to digest. Still, I think I’ve grown up a little more after this…
4.)What would you like to say about your recently published novel “ITNI SI BAAT”?
It’s my second child whom I would love to raise very special! Bus, “ITNI SI BAAT”
5.)Who is your inspiration?
Not souls, but incidents inspire me!
6.) Your views on love and relationship?
When it comes to love and relationships, we’re all seeking that special person who is right for us. But, if you have had read enough stories, you start suspecting even the right flavours. Also, I feel this that sometimes you actually have to wait for that wrong person for all the right reasons, someone you lovingly gaze upon and say, “Yes! He is my dilute solution to kill another microorganism.”
7.)A few words about your first book “WAY TO FALL”
You know I always have that habit of not calling ‘my people’ (especially the ones whom I like) by their real names. Instead, I use a pseudo name for them. Similarly, when I wanted to write “Kabir”, I gave him a very special name, Mr.Honcho! It made me live his character through those pink glasses. Talking about the leading lady’s character, Aiyesha, I thought it was me, who was dealing with all those zig-zag modes. Her dreams, her fantasies, her relationships and her “LOVE”, everything had a life! This first book of mine is soooo special in sooo many ways. It actually made people believe that “Yes! Love and dreams both can go together!”.
8.)Are there any books that have been published apart from “WTFILAD” AND “ISB”
Na! So far, I’ve come up with these two! Let’s see what my destiny holds for me..(in the context of writings!)
9.)How was this journey of becoming a published author?
An amalgamation of ‘a bit- of- this’ and ‘a bit- of- that’.Or in general terms, an entangling mathematical equation that needed quick solutions with the right answers. But, today when I look back, I feel that each failure has taught me something incredibly valuable.
12.)Do you prefer reading ebooks or paperbacks? Why?
Not a specific answer to this! Both the options work!
13.)Who is an author according to you?
Someone whom his readers can connect to and say, “Hey, that’s my story!”
14.) Why did you choose this story to be written as a novel?
Because I wanted people to know that ‘real-life heroes’ still prevail in today’s reel- realities!
15.)Which is your favourite novel and why?
Elaine Williams’s, “Seeking the Taj” and Ravinder Singh’s, “Your dreams are mine now”. Reason being, they had a social message to convey!
16.)Who is your favourite author and why?
Ravinder Singh because his books amount to - letting a person be what he really is..
17.)What is your favourite genre? Specific reason for it being favourite?
Being a girl, I always enjoy writing “LOVE STORIES” because this genre gives you total freedom to be yourself-and especially to feel, or not feel. I always say this, that whenever I go on writing something, those pseudo clouds in me paint my imagination in red!
18.)If you were asked to choose only 3 books to have with you, what will your books be?
Choosing books for me is made up of three unconditional properties in equal measure: a spiritual book which I read, “Way to fall in love and dreams” and, “ITNI SI BAAT”..Remove any one of the three and the triangle falls apart.
19.)If you were in Tara’s position, whom would you choose?
You know, whenever I think about this, my mind answers, “It’s really hard in figuring out what you're willing to give up in order to do the things you really care about”. Had I been in her position, I would have let my heart decide everything simultaneously.
20.)When can we expect your next book? Any hints about the same?
Hahahaaaa…a mysterious laugh! Let the right time come…
21.)What is the reason for choosing the title of your book in hindi while the rest were in english?
I remember the day when we thought about different titles for the book. But, none of them were meeting with our ‘character’ requirements. Later, when I had a discussion with Mirza Sir and Mirza Ma’am, they had only a 3-word title to give, “ITNI SI BAAT”...So, credit in their sack! People say this title has affection and emotions in itself and it actually makes me happy..Even today it still catches attention!
22.)A piece of advice for the budding poets and authors?
Your writing skills are the greatest weapons and it makes you so elusive, so attractive and so dangerous. So, don’t give up even in the strong winds, surely, you are going to find a beaming sun one day!
23.)Where can your readers contact you?
Keep nudging me in the world of digital media..Facebook, instagram, twitter, and catch me anywhere… if you can!
24.)Finally, a few words to your readers?
“Kuch tum kaho, kuch hum kahe, aur yeh kaarwaaa…aise hi chalta rahe”

INTERVIEW WITH JYOTI SAINI - AUTHOR OF LET LIFE BE LIGHT

Hi Jyoti.. A Warm Welcome..

1.            A few words about you.

I am an active, fun-loving but sincere, outgoing, sporty and an explorer kind of a person. I believe in working on solutions rather than worrying about the problem.

2.       What would you like to say about your recently published autobiography “Let Life Be Light”?

Let Life Be Light is a motivational book that would be of interest to people of every age-group. It starts with my journey as a college student and ends at a meaningful analysis and conclusion of what happened to me and my family. You can consider it as an outlook of a young girl and her parents to a chronic, a never-ending struggle.

I think the youngsters should read it as it may help in preparing them for the challenges of life. There is a considerable amount of comedy as well.

The book is about positivity, how I remained positive in tough situations and what kept me going. It is about the struggles and successes of a person in trouble. It is my autobiography with the sequence of events as they occurred.

3.       When did you start writing and from where did you get the inspiration from?

The idea of writing this book came to my mind while I was recovering post my kidney transplant surgery. The inspiration came from my journey with my disease, IgA Nephropathy and my analysis of the situations.

I am thankful to God for giving me a different and eventful life that could become an entertaining and meaningful story.

4.       What is the purpose of your writing?

The purpose of this book is to spread positivity; to tell my readers that the purpose of life is to keep moving, to keep fighting and to never lose hope.
We humans have a tendency to become sad on silly things. I strongly believe that a person has to remain happy himself in order to do something good. And he must always aim to be happy and try to do the thing that makes him happy.

5.       What or who inspired you to write your autobiography?

It was a signal from the God, or my inner voice I can say, that made me realize that I have a story to share. To begin when I noticed that my father, my mother, my doctors, Dr. Jasuja and Dr. Augustine, Baba Ramdev have all been fighters, who never gave up. Later I found that people who survive are the ones who never stop trying. I have been very lucky to be surrounded by such inspiring souls.

6.       How was your writing phase and how did your family feel about your idea of this book?

Nice question. Writing of this book was a great learning experience. I took three years and it wasn't any less than a PG degree I must say. I began writing as a plain story with the sequence of events and as I progressed, I learned about the heights and depths of problems, human behaviour and emotions. I started analysing the sequence of events and got several answers and reasons.

Only Ravi knew that I was writing this book. He felt happy when I told him that I have decided to write something like this.  He appreciated me occasionally. We disclosed about the book to our families only when I had completed more than 90% of it. I started in 2013 and I told them in 2016. So because I did not want to feel any sort of pressure. Everyone became excited when they came to know; we also played a sort of guessing game about what the title of book could be.

7.       What are your other published works?

None as yet.

8.       How was this journey of becoming a published author?

A great learning experience from writing to getting published. Like the way we visited several doctors for my ailment, we met many publishers for my book. The second journey was shorter though. We approached several publishers and most of them liked the book. Finally we went with Bluerose and it was a smooth and transparent process.

9.       Is your book self-published or traditionally published?

Self-published.

10.   Which way of publication do you prefer and why?

Both are equally good and helpful.

11.   Who is an author according to you?

Someone who has a concept, an idea or a story and who can give a logical or meaningful flow or summary to his thoughts.

12.   Who is your favourite author and why?

A tough question for a person like me. I have read mostly technical books and read articles, news columns and comments on FB and whatsapp from my friends. I am not a follower of any particular author or columnist so don’t have a favourite as such. During college days, I liked Karan Thapar.

13.   What are the 3 books you would pick to have with you all the time and why?

Geeta.
A well written technical reference.
Hanuman Chalisa.

14.   What is your favourite genre? And is there any specific reason for it being your favourite?

Comedy, undoubtedly. I look for happiness and smiles around.

15.   What is your biggest fear?

Not able to find time to do what I like.

16.   Anything you are crazy about?

Yes, there are many. Firstly, the morning walk or exercises. Then, flying in an aeroplane; travelling to various places to see rivers, dams, fields, country side and places of worship; river-rafting; trekking; playing cricket and driving.

17.   Who is God for you?

I know God as THE Supreme power, the creator, the preserver and the destroyer. The world is in him, he is one and is forever. He can do anything or everything, way beyond we can even think of.

To me, God is the silence or a sound or a feeling or a thought that brings positivity, hope and strength.

18.   What is your deepest wish that hasn’t come true till now?

Hmmm...I have mentioned this in my book, I want my original kidneys to get healed.

19.   When can we expect your next book? And can we have any hint about the story?

Truely, not planned yet. But it can be an academic book or a biography or a collection of real stories.

20.   A piece of advice for the budding authors?

Stay true to yourself and only then a masterpiece will be created.

21.   Finally, a few words to your readers.

1. Always remain happy and try to make others happy.
2. Thank you for taking out time to read my book and I would be happy to get your feedback at llbl.jyotisaini@gmail.com

STORY : 4.5/5
VALUE FOR MONEY : 4/5
OVERALL : 4/5

QUICK SUMMARY:
Let Life Be Light is an autobiography by Jyoti Saini.
Jyoti Saini, a young energetic and confident girl, who had been leading her life in a pretty peaceful way like everyone of us, suddenly notices a slight abnormality in her blood pressure, during her college days.  Her family takes her to various doctors and hospitals, where she has had her bitter and sweet experiences. And when her ailment is diagnosed correctly as IgA Nephropathy, she had to consume a huge list of medications.

(Note On IgA Nephropathy - IgA nephropathy, also known as Berger's disease, is a kidney disease that occurs when an antibody called immunoglobulin A (IgA) lodges in your kidneys. This results in local inflammation that, over time, may hamper your kidneys' ability to filter wastes from your blood.
IgA nephropathy usually progresses slowly over many years, but the course of the disease in each person is uncertain. Some people leak blood in their urine without developing problems, some eventually achieve complete remission, and others develop end-stage kidney failure.
Certain medications can slow its course. Keeping your blood pressure under control and reducing your cholesterol levels also slow disease progression)

Though she had to go through a tremedous task of altering her diet and her lifestyle, she does it happily and with confidence. She never loses her hope and moves on with her life, until one day something most unexpected happens. Her test reports shows elevated parameters. When she finds, even after altering the course of medications, nothing seems to be better, she visits various doctors and tries homeopathic and ayurvedic line of treatment.

In this book, Jyoti shares her experience in hospitals, her trips to various holy sights. She also talks about, how she had lost hope at some point of time during the course of treatment, and how her family has been her moral support all through. With the help of her family she regains her lost hope and develops faith in the Almighty.  Finally after many years, she undergoes renal transplant and leads a healthy life. And now she’s become a completely new person, learning from the lessons life had taught her during her diseased times.

 NEGATIVE POINTS:
The beginning and the ending of the book was wonderful. As the story is about the true life of the author, few chapters in the middle might not be captivating for the readers. And a very few grammatical errors.

APPRECIATIONS:
A simple writing style which everyone can understand. A smoothly flowing plot and emotions were very well brought out. Though a lot of characters were involved, it was perfectly written without creating any confusions to the readers. The journey to different places are clearly explained.

SUGGESTIONS:
The story could have been written in a bit more intereting manner.

OVERALL REVIEW:
A very good and inspiring book to read. A must read book for all those people who are suffering from severe ailments. This is a book which would give you confidence, a new hope and a different view on life.

Wonderful story of a normal girl, who’s one among us. (4/5)

THE REBEL

A knight in the shining armor, she was,
Standing under the blazing sun
Her eyes burning with desire.

Like the shining silver armor she wore,
And the sharpened metal blade she held,
Her manoeuvre mirrored the passion within.

Standing on the parched grounds,
Amidst the bodies oozing blood,
Her heart flickered because of qualms.

Lifeless frames of kith and kin,
Shattered figures of mates and foes,
Crumbled her heart with agonizing pain.

Yet, the desire to dispel oppression,
Lead her through the war,
Adorning her beauty with scars.

Burning flags, fleeing oppressants,
And, the charming smiles on tormented faces,
Marked her victory, crowning glory.

******* DESIRE IS THE STARTING POINT TO ACHIEVE GREATER HEIGHTS*********

West with the night

Thundering clouds and lightening sky,
Clouding above the cities so bright,
Bestowed the west, with the ravishing night,
Unleashing the creepy inhumane creatures,
Dwelling in the darks below,
Feeding upon the innocent souls,
Diminishing the purest hearts,
Thus, drowning the west, with the night,
Forever, without a streak of light.
